First Time Visitors Info
Service Hours
Sunday School 9:30 AM - Morning Worship 10:30 AM - Evening Worship 6:00 PM
- Wednesday evening worship 7:00 PM. Our worship services usually last
around an hour and a half.
Our Music
We
mostly sing traditional hymns and Southern Gospel music in our worship
services. We use the red back Church Hymnal, the Inspiration Hymnal, and
the Mull's Singing Convention Hymn book. Choir participation is voluntary
and everyone is welcome to join in. There are also opportunities for
specials and solos. For a sample visit our
music
ministry page.
Which Bible Is Used
We
teach and preach from the King James Version of the Bible. Our messages
are sound in doctrine and Biblical truth and expository in style. For a
sample visit our
sermon page.
What To Wear
There is not a dress code at Highland Baptist Church. The majority of our
members dress in traditional Sunday attire. You will find folks wearing
a variety of dress; men - everything from suits and ties to polo shirts and jeans,
and ladies - dresses, skirts, and slacks. We want you to
feel comfortable and enjoy your visit. For an idea of what to expect,
visit our
photo page.
Our
Church History
Established in 1942, Highland Baptist Church is the oldest church in the
Babelay Road community. Over the past 69-years the Lord has blessed us
beyond belief. Many lives have been changed and lost souls saved through
the power and conviction of the Holy Spirit. We believe you will find a
warm fellowship of believers and a place you will feel welcome to worship
in Spirit and in Truth. You can read about our church
history
