Impact the Park 2007
A
great time was had by all that attended the 2nd annual "Impact
the Park" event. Several hundred of our brothers and
sisters in Christ, gathered together Saturday, July 7th, at Big
Ridge State Park for this glorious event. Sponsored by the Northern
& Midland Baptist Associations, it was a time to
remember. Things
started off at 10:00 am with the setting up of the food and
tables. At 11:00 all of the pastors and preachers joined
together to pray. After prayer everyone joined together to sing
praises unto God. After the singing, the Rev. Mark Large, pastor
of Hines Creek
Missionary Baptist Church, stepped forward to bring the
sermon. The message in which he entitled "Amazing Grace for
Every Race," brought true to light that God's full and
saving Grace is free to every man woman and child of any and
every race or color.
After
the sermon, everyone moved to the lake to witness all of the new
brothers and sisters in Christ be Baptized. It was a throwback
to the days of old when folks would gather round to worship,
celebrate, and praise God together. Once
the Baptisms were over, folks lined up at the picnic shelters
for a time of good eating and fellowship. What
a wonderful way to spend a Saturday! If you weren't able to
attend, you'll want to be sure and watch the videos of the
sermon and baptisms. Click on links below to watch!
