I will praise the name of God with a
song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving.- Psalm 69:30
I accepted Christ as my Savior at
the young age of seven, during Vacation Bible School at
Elm Street Baptist church in Knoxville, TN. I have experienced
God's love, grace, and mercy in my life, more than I deserve.
It is with great humbleness and awe that I find myself chosen
by God to lead His church in song. I often think of myself as
one of the least worthy of His children. If you listen to the
audio clip at the top of this page, you will hear me singing,
"He Loves Me." This song has become my
testimony song. For without His love, I would be nothing.
On March 15, 1985, at the age of
18, I married my high school sweetheart, Mary Seaton. We have
now been married for 25-years! God has also blessed us with
three wonderful children, all of which have accepted Christ as
their Savior. God is good!
In 1998, I submitted to the
higher calling of preaching and spreading the Gospel message.
I have been blessed to hold the position of Minister of Music
in two different Baptist churches and fill-in as the interim
pastor in one of them. I am honored to be the current Minister
of Music at Highland Baptist church and the Pre-Teen Sunday
School teacher, and also be allowed to
occasionally stand behind the pulpit and preach the Word.
In early 2009, my thirst for
knowledge in God's Word became unquenchable. Just as in II
Timothy 2:15 where the Apostle Paul instructs young Timothy:
"Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that
needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of
truth." I felt God leading me to enroll at
Crown Seminary where I am now working on my Master's
of Ministry degree.
It is my heart's desire to spread
the Gospel message in any way that I can. I do not take this
calling lightly and I strongly desire the prayers of my fellow
brothers and sisters in Christ.
